Using Evidence to Drive Value: Nurses’ Opportunity to Shine

Featuring Keynote Speaker: Madeleine Whalen, MSN, MPH, RN, CEN

Ms Whalen is the Evidence-Based Project Program Coordinator for the Johns Hopkins Health System and an editor and author on the newest edition of the Johns Hopkins Evidence-Based Practice for Nurses and Healthcare Professionals, Model and Guidelines.  In this role she supports frontline nursing in completing robust and actionable EBP projects rooted in the expertise of bedside nurses.  She began her nursing career in the Emergency Department while earning her Master’s Degrees in Nursing and Public Health.  She continues to work clinically part-time as well as serves as a clinical instructor at the Johns Hopkins School of Nursing.  Her professional interests include global health, infectious disease, and empowering nurses to advance the profession and science of nursing through inquiry.  

 

The Call for abstract and manuscript submissions opens September 27, 2021 (see attached directions).

 

We invite you to submit a research and/or EBP abstract for poster or podium presentation. Awards will be presented for "Outstanding Poster and Podium Presentation."

 

Also, we invite you to submit manuscripts of EBP projects or research studies accepted for publication or published in 2020-2021 for consideration of the "Outstanding Published Manuscript" award.

 

This is a great opportunity to share how you are contributing to the science of nursing with colleagues and students.

The deadline for abstract submissions is December 28, 2021.

 

The deadline for the manuscript submission is January 30, 2022

 

Registration for the conference will open in late January 2022.
